Description:
The EkoSMART project introduced a universal architecture for smart cities, aiming for sustainable, safe, and high-quality urban living through smart management. The project’s goal was to develop an ecosystem with all the necessary mechanisms for the effective and optimized gradual integration of various areas into a unified and connected system. It focused on three key domains of the smart city: health, active living, and mobility.
Elgoline d.o.o. participated in the working group for Electronic and Mobile Health, where prototype hardware and software were developed for fall detection. Based on research, a printed circuit board was developed and manufactured with all necessary components for emergency calling, voice communication, location detection, activity measurement, and fall detection. Using the developed hardware, data were collected to develop and optimize the algorithm and software for fall detection.
