Description: The AIPAN project involved the development of an innovative building component (flooring system), whose key advantage lies in a significantly simplified and time-efficient installation process compared to the existing “wet” method, and its integration into the smart home concept. The goals of the project were to reduce the final cost of the flooring system, ensure faster installation, develop an advanced and cost-effective capacitive sensor for the micro-localization of people within buildings, create artificial intelligence for micro-localized floor heating, and establish a demonstration line for the production of the AIPAN panel.
The AIPAN system is a comprehensive flooring solution, covering everything from waterproofing to the final flooring layer (no concrete slab required). Full prefabrication dramatically accelerates the flooring installation process from 54 days to 1 or 2 days for a single-story residential house. It includes advanced sensor functionalities with new capacitive sensors and artificial intelligence, enabling focused micro-localized heating, detection of people’s presence, and more. The system also provides protection against radioactive radon and offers different variants (ground-contact floor, wall, inter-story floor).
